How to read this comparison

Active noise cancelling (ANC)

Microphones pick up ambient sound and the headphones generate an opposing signal to reduce it. Most effective on steady, low-frequency noise such as engines.

Battery life

Manufacturers usually quote playback hours under specific conditions, often with ANC switched off. Real-world figures vary with volume and features.

Codecs

The format used to send audio over Bluetooth. SBC and AAC are widely supported; LDAC and aptX Adaptive can carry more data, if your phone supports them.

Multipoint

Lets the headphones stay connected to two devices at once, such as a laptop and a phone, and switch between them.
